Desperate Housewives Turn to Online Casinos Poker

The online poker arena is no longer dominated by men. According to a recent survey, there are more women online casinos poker players than there are men. Women poker players outnumber men at online casinos all over the web. Soon after online casinos flooded the internet, they quickly became one of the most popular pastimes. A lot of women who spend a lot of hours at home choose to play online poker in their spare time. Without trying to sound sexist, women spend more time on average at home than men, which must have played some part in the results of this survey.
The results of this survey are a bit surprising considering the fact that the game of poker has always been associated with men. Look at all the old Wild West movies; it’s always the men who are sitting in the saloon playing poker. I guess that online casinos have changed all that. Another online gambling survey indicates that 53% of all the people who engage in online gambling in the US are women. Experts predict that this number only stands to grow in the years to come.
It appears that online casinos appeal more to women than they do to men in some parts of the world. A woman that enjoys gambling would prefer to do it in the comfort of her own home, than having to dress up especially in order to play at regular land based casinos. Poker is known as the ultimate alpha male game. If these surveys are accurate, then maybe online poker should be referred to as the alpha female game from now on.
