Not Profits Online Casinos Group Expected

A leading online casinos group posted a 47 percent rise in full-year revenue, but repeated its warning from last December of full-year combined operating results falling drastically below current market predictions on poor trading. The online casinos poker and sports betting group stated that its full-year revenue rose to GBP 14.36 million, including GBP 3.45 million from the online casino business acquired in June of 2006. Total active online casino customers grew as well, from 17,597 to 84,595.
The online casinos group it acquired, however, saw a fall in active customers to 46,139 and new online casinos players to 11,115 since the buy-out. The online casino firm was recently voted ‘Best Online Casino’ by a leading online casino portal for 2006 despite its strong warning in December. This is not unusual for a company to experience such profits in the online gambling industry. This is yet another example of this fact.
With the winds of change sweeping the online casinos market and industry, it is not surprising that online casinos are not hitting the forecast marks financially that they have set for themselves for quarterly revenue reports. The future of the online casino industry is very unclear, and this has been causing a great deal of turbulence for operators and owners of online casinos. Additionally, the online casino players visiting these online gambling sites are also concerned and unsure about the future of this gaming sector. Only time will tell how the online casino industry will stand up to the challenges it is facing every day.
